Zome Home
Corrales, NM

Aluminum skins cover a honeycomb of insulated fiber make this home lightweight, but as strong as an airplane. Insulated louvered skylights open in the day to let in light and heat, and automatically close when the temperature drops at night. A hinged water-tank wall on the south side contains 20 tons of water for thermal heat storage, and closes at night for added insulation.
