The designers "recycled" this historic 100-year-old building and reduced the overall energy use to 48% of that used in similar office buildings. By including both natural light and highly efficient electrical light, and by using nontoxic paints, floorings, and finishes, they created a new healthy environment for employees, a model workplace.
